Lemlist automates LinkedIn only on its Multichannel plan, which costs $109 per user a month or $87 on annual billing. The cheaper Email plan, from $69 a month ($55 annual), has no LinkedIn steps at all. Multichannel adds profile visits, follows, invitations, text and voice messages and InMail to the same sequence as your emails, and lemlist's own help center recommends staying near 20 invitations a day, because LinkedIn caps most accounts at roughly 100 a week whatever tool you use.

Which Lemlist plan includes LinkedIn automation

The lemlist pricing page, read in October 2026, splits the product in two. The Email plan is priced by the monthly email volume you choose and gives unlimited users and email senders. Multichannel is priced per user and is the plan where the LinkedIn rows switch on. Lemlist's LinkedIn prospecting page says it plainly: "You'll need the Multichannel or Enterprise plan to use LinkedIn steps in your outreach."

The 14-day trial runs on Multichannel features, except in-app calls, and includes 200 credits for finding emails and phone numbers, so you can test the LinkedIn steps before paying. After the trial, every rep who needs LinkedIn needs a Multichannel seat. That is the line that decides most of the bill.

Lemlist LinkedIn limits you will actually hit

The plan does not set your LinkedIn volume. LinkedIn does. Lemlist's help center gives the numbers it recommends, and they are worth reading before you budget for pipeline:

  • About 20 invitations a day, and lemlist notes that LinkedIn caps invitations at roughly 100 per rolling week. Twenty a day over five working days is the whole weekly budget.
  • About 30 messages and 30 profile visits a day, with roughly 100 to 110 actions a day across every action type.
  • Three custom invitation notes a month on a free LinkedIn account. After that, LinkedIn blocks invites that carry a personal note until the monthly reset. Premium and Sales Navigator accounts have no monthly cap, so a personalized invite strategy usually means paying LinkedIn as well as lemlist.
  • Notes are capped at 200 characters, or 300 for Premium senders, and lemlist adjusts the counter when it detects Premium.

Put those together and one Multichannel seat produces about 400 connection requests a month, per LinkedIn profile, regardless of how many campaigns you build. If your plan needs more reach than that, the answer is more LinkedIn profiles, and every profile on lemlist means another per-user seat.

How lemlist connects to LinkedIn

Lemlist links your LinkedIn account through its Chrome extension, which also imports leads from LinkedIn and Sales Navigator searches with the profile URL attached. Its help center lists clearing browser cookies, browser updates and cookie expiry among the common causes of a disconnected account, and the fix is to log back into LinkedIn and re-authenticate through the extension. Plan for someone on the team to watch for disconnections, because a dropped session silently pauses the LinkedIn steps while the email steps keep running.

Dedicated LinkedIn tools handle this differently. Expandi and HeyReach run each account from their own servers with a dedicated IP or residential proxy per profile, which is what agencies running dozens of profiles pay for. Our HeyReach vs Lemlist pricing comparison covers that trade in detail.

What lemlist LinkedIn automation costs per rep, compared

The real question for most buyers is whether one $87 seat beats a LinkedIn tool plus an email tool. Here is one rep doing LinkedIn and email, at vendor list prices checked in September and October 2026, annual billing.

SetupPer month, annual billingLinkedIn engineEmail engineWho writes the emails

At five reps the gap grows. Five Multichannel seats are $435 a month on annual billing. Five HeyReach Growth senders are $315, and AutoMail Growth covers the email side for the whole team at $49 a month flat, so $364 in total, with the email sequences written for each prospect instead of by each rep. The comparison flips for a solo founder who wants one login and one bill: there, lemlist at $87 is simpler than any pair.

Is lemlist good for LinkedIn automation?

For one to a few reps who live in email and want LinkedIn as a supporting touch, yes. A visit, an invite, a short message and a voice note can sit between email steps in one sequence, with replies from both channels in one inbox. It is weaker when LinkedIn is the main channel or when one operator runs many profiles, because every profile is another per-user seat and the account connection depends on a browser session.

Does lemlist work with a free LinkedIn account?

Yes. Lemlist says it works with a regular free LinkedIn account, and Sales Navigator only adds better search filters. The catch is personalization: a free account can attach a custom note to only three invitations a month, so blank invites or a Premium subscription are the real options once you scale past a handful of requests.

Can lemlist get my LinkedIn account banned?

Any automation can, because LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits third-party tools that automate activity. Lemlist reduces the risk with daily limits and randomized delays, and its help center says LinkedIn usually lifts a temporary restriction after about a week. While recovering, it suggests dropping to around ten actions a day. Keep invitations near 20 a day and watch your acceptance rate.

How many LinkedIn invitations can lemlist send per day?

Lemlist recommends up to 20 invitations a day, alongside about 30 messages and 30 profile visits. You can set higher numbers under Settings and Sending limits, but LinkedIn caps invitations at roughly 100 per rolling week for most accounts, so 20 a day on weekdays already uses the full weekly allowance.

Is there a cheaper alternative to lemlist for LinkedIn and email?

Yes, if you are willing to run two tools. Dripify Pro is $59 a seat annually with email steps built in, and a LinkedIn tool paired with a dedicated email sender often costs the same as one Multichannel seat while sending email from several warmed inboxes. Our Lemlist vs Dripify comparison and the lemlist alternative page go through the options.

Where AutoMail fits

Lemlist's LinkedIn steps are a reasonable add-on to an email tool. What none of these plans do is write the email for you. AutoMail researches each company, writes the opener and every follow-up for that one prospect, sends from your own Google or Microsoft inboxes with warm-up and rotation, checks spam score before each send, stops the thread on reply and routes interested answers to your booking link. Keep whichever LinkedIn tool fits your account count, and let the email side run itself from $24 a month on annual billing.

Whichever pairing you pick, the email half needs clean addresses before the first send, since bounces damage a new domain faster than anything else. An email finder that verifies each address handles that step before the list reaches your sequence.

Which setup to buy

  • Lemlist Multichannel if one to three reps want LinkedIn and email in one sequence, one inbox and one bill, and you are not reselling outreach to clients.
  • A cloud LinkedIn tool plus AutoMail if you run more than a few profiles, want LinkedIn independent of a browser session, or want each email written for the prospect rather than from a template.
  • Lemlist Email alone if LinkedIn is something your reps do by hand, since the Email plan starts at $55 annual with unlimited users.
