Smartlead vs Dripify: pricing, sending limits and which is better for outbound
The short answer
Smartlead is a cold email platform priced per workspace at $39, $94, $174 and $379 a month, with unlimited connected mailboxes on every tier and volume tied to lead and send credits: Base gives 2,000 active leads and 6,000 sends, Pro gives 30,000 and 90,000. Dripify is a cloud LinkedIn automation tool priced per user at $59, $79 and $99 a month, or $39, $59 and $79 billed annually. They are not substitutes. Smartlead sends email at volume and cannot touch LinkedIn; Dripify works LinkedIn and treats email as a side step. The number that decides the Smartlead bill is not the plan, it is mailboxes: unlimited means unlimited connections, and buying the accounts through Smartlead costs $4.50 a mailbox a month plus $13 a domain a year. The number that decides Dripify is LinkedIn itself, which allows roughly 100 invitations per account per rolling week no matter which tier you buy. AutoMail is the third option when the channel is email and the real bottleneck is writing sequences that get answered.
AutoMail researches and writes the 1:1 sequence right here. It runs in your browser, so no email goes out.

Quick verdict
Who each tool is for
Both Smartlead and Dripify are capable. Here is the shortest honest way to choose, with where AutoMail fits.
Pick Smartlead
Email is the channel and volume is the constraint. You want unlimited connected mailboxes, warm-up on all of them, automatic rotation and one inbox for every reply. Budget the plan plus the mailboxes: $39 Base plus roughly $4.50 per mailbox a month if you buy them through Smartlead.
Pick Dripify
LinkedIn is the only door your market opens and each rep runs outreach from their own profile. It is a clean $39 a seat on annual Basic, as long as you accept that LinkedIn caps every tier at roughly 100 invitations a week and that email here is a side step, not a sending platform.
Pick AutoMail
The channel is email and the bottleneck is writing sequences worth replying to. The AI researches each prospect, writes the 1:1 opener and the follow-ups, warms and rotates your inboxes, then pauses on reply and routes meeting-ready answers to your booking link. Flat per workspace from $49, unlimited seats.
Smartlead and Dripify turn up on the same shortlist for one reason: both promise automated, personalized outreach that a small team can switch on this week without a procurement cycle. Look at what each actually sends and the overlap almost disappears. Smartlead is a cold email platform built around mailbox volume, with warm-up on every connected account, automatic rotation of sends across a pool of inboxes, and a master inbox that gathers replies from all of them. Dripify is a LinkedIn automation tool that runs in the cloud signed in to your LinkedIn profile, sending connection requests, profile visits and messages on a drip schedule, with email steps and a small email finder attached.
The published prices point in opposite directions, and both hide the number that decides your real bill. Smartlead charges per workspace, not per seat: Base is $39 a month for 2,000 active leads and 6,000 sends, Pro is $94 for 30,000 leads and 90,000 sends, Unlimited Smart is $174 for 50,000 leads and 150,000 sends, and Unlimited Prime is $379 for 170,000 leads and 510,000 sends. Annual billing takes 17 percent off. Every tier advertises unlimited email accounts, and that is true in the sense that Smartlead will not charge you to connect one. It is not true in the sense that the accounts are free. If you buy them through Smartlead, which now resells Google and Microsoft mailboxes through its Zapmail integration, the rate on the pricing page is $4.50 a mailbox a month for Google and $13 a domain a year, with other providers listed between $3.99 and $9. Twenty mailboxes is roughly $90 a month on top of the $39 plan, so the entry cost of a real sending setup is closer to $130 than $39.
Dripify hides a different number. Its three self-serve tiers look like they buy more reach, and the plan cards do separate limited daily quotas on Basic from full daily quotas on Pro and Advanced. LinkedIn overrides all of them. Most accounts are permitted roughly 100 invitations per rolling seven days, about 430 a month, regardless of which software sends them, so Basic, Pro and Advanced deliver the same ceiling on new connections. What the upgrade money buys is management: unlimited campaigns and CSV export on Pro, then multi-team management, A/B testing, lead tagging and stronger account protection on Advanced. Worth knowing before you pick a tier on the strength of the email finder: every self-serve plan, including the $99 Advanced one, includes the same 100 finder credits a month.
Read side by side, this is a channel decision, not a feature comparison. If your buyers open email and you need to reach several thousand of them a month from a pool of warmed domains, Smartlead is the tool and Dripify cannot do the job at any price. If your market ignores email and only answers on LinkedIn, Dripify is the tool and Smartlead has no LinkedIn features at all. Teams that genuinely need both usually end up paying for both, which is a real answer and a real cost. What neither tool does is write the sequence. Both give you templates, variables and spintax, then leave the angle to you, which is where AutoMail comes in as the third column rather than a footnote.

The third option
Where AutoMail fits between them
The AI writes the sequence
Both tools above leave the copy to you. AutoMail researches each prospect and writes a genuine 1:1 opener and follow-ups, so relevance, not just volume, drives the reply rate.
Deliverability built in
Inbox rotation, gradual warm-up and a spam-score check on every send keep personalized copy in the primary inbox, built for the 2026 Google and Microsoft sender rules.
Replies become meetings
When a prospect answers, the sequence pauses, intent is classified, and meeting-ready replies route to your booking link and CRM. Flat per workspace, unlimited seats, no credits.
One honest caveat: AutoMail has no built-in lead database, so bring or sync your own verified list. If prospecting data is what you need most, keep a data tool for that and run the outreach here.
